ADASO/Kıvanç: Many of our industrialists stopped production until Monday

Adana Chamber of Industry President Zeki Kıvanç said, “Adana is currently the least damaged province among the 10 damaged provinces in Turkey. All of the destroyed buildings in Adana were built on ridges; but they did not use the concrete and iron properly. There are 10 blocks, one block has been demolished. It is necessary to look at the contractor, why it was demolished, what kind of construction was done,” he said.

Expressing that they took a decision with the industrialists on Wednesday, Kıvanç said, “Many of our industrialists in Adana stopped production until 08:00 on Monday morning, so that our citizens can support each other, have their houses checked, and because we emphasize the health of life. At the moment, we do not have a damaged industrial establishment in Adana. On the other hand, we have industrialists who suffered some damage in Kahramanmaraş, Adıyaman and perhaps Gaziantep. “These businesses need to get up as soon as possible,” he said.

Kıvanç said, “Not every business can make containers in Adana, maybe a few businesses. They also said that they are trying to provide container support, but I don’t know how fast they can be.”
