CBRT Chairman Erkan took over the task
Hafize Gaye Erkan, President of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT), took over the task from Şahap Kavcıoğlu.
A ceremony was held at the Central Bank due to the handover.
In his speech, Erkan thanked Kavcıoğlu for his services in the last 2 years and said, “You have carried out a difficult process with your team. We thank you for your efforts. I would like you to know that I will remember your support, efforts and services with gratitude on behalf of our country and Central Bank staff.” said.
Being the first female president appointed to the CBRT, Erkan thanked President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Kavcıoğlu, who was appointed as the Chairman of the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK), wished Erkan continued success in his work for Turkey.
