CBRT reserves decreased by 7 billion dollars in three weeks

Weekly Money and Bank Statistics have been published by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT).

Accordingly, as of April 7, the gross foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank decreased by 1 billion 756 million dollars to 68 billion 491 million dollars. Gross foreign exchange reserves were at the level of 70 billion 247 million dollars on 31 March.

The net reserves of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey continued to decline in the third week. In three weeks, the decrease in reserves reached $ 7 billion, while net reserves excluding swaps fell to $ 47 billion.

In the said period, gold reserves increased by 436 million dollars from 52 billion 176 million dollars to 52 billion 612 million dollars.

Thus, the gross reserves of the Central Bank decreased from 122 billion 423 million dollars to 121 billion 103 million dollars in the week of April 7, with a decrease of 1 billion 320 million dollars compared to the previous week.
