Condolence visit from Blinken to the Turkish Embassy in Washington

Blinken came to Turkey’s Washington Embassy in the morning to offer condolences for those who lost their lives in the earthquakes with a magnitude of 7.7 and 7.6, the epicenter of which was in the Pazarcık and Elbistan districts of Kahramanmaraş and affecting 10 provinces in total.

Welcomed by Ambassador Hasan Murat Mercan, Blinken expressed his condolences to Mercan.

Blinken, who later signed the condolence book created at the Embassy, ​​wrote, “On behalf of myself and the American people, I convey my condolences to the people of Turkey for the great loss they have suffered.
