Erdogan spoke with Zelenski and Putin on the phone
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke on the phone with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenski, according to the statement made by the Presidency’s Directorate of Communications.
During the meeting, the earthquakes in Turkey and the developments regarding the Russia-Ukraine war, which is in its first year, were discussed.
President Erdoğan, who thanked Zelenski for showing solidarity with Turkey due to the earthquake, stated that they are ready to contribute in any way they can to the construction of a solution based on ceasefire and negotiations in the Russia-Ukraine war, which has filled a year, and to shape peace.
Erdogan also held a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
During the meeting, the earthquakes in Turkey and the developments regarding the Russia-Ukraine war, which is in its first year, were discussed. President Erdoğan thanked Russian President Putin for his solidarity with the earthquake.
Stating that a fair peace should be established without further loss of life and destruction in the Russia-Ukraine war, President Erdoğan stated that they sincerely want the agreement reached in Istanbul to be revived and that they are ready to contribute in every way possible.
