Eurozone investor confidence rises in April

Frankfurt-based research firm Sentix has announced the Eurozone General Investor Confidence Index data for April.
Accordingly, the Euro Area General Investor Confidence Index, which was minus 11.1 points in March, rose by 2.4 points to minus 8.7 this month. The expectation for the index, which rose to the highest level in 13 months, was to rise to minus 9.9.
The Expectations Index, which measures investors’ expectations for the next 6 months, remained stable at minus 13 points.
The Current Situation Index also rose from minus 9.3 points to minus 4.3 points, making its rise for the sixth consecutive month.
“There is no doubt that the Eurozone economy has survived the winter months better than many feared in the fall,” Sentix said in a statement, adding that the mild winter and energy savings helped prevent energy bottlenecks in the continent.
The investor confidence survey was held on April 6-8 with the participation of 1,300 investors.
