With our new packaging facility, which will come into operation in 2023, we want to offer our consumers both processed and frozen sea bass and sea bream products with special packages for the export channel.”

‘Feed industry is the most important factor for sustainable growth in livestock’

Stating that the demand for animal protein, including meat, milk and fish, continues to increase worldwide due to the increasing world population, and that this demand shows that it will support the growth in the world compound feed market, Tunç Tuncer said, “According to the forecasts compiled by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), by 2050, We will need to produce 60 percent more food to feed a world population of up to 9.3 billion people. In line with the demand, it is expected that the production of animal protein and, accordingly, the need for animal protein will increase.

However, the role and impact of the compound feed sector will increase. The feed industry is the most important factor for sustainable growth in livestock. Compound feed also plays an important role in the global food industry as it ensures a safe and nutritious supply of animal protein. Every increase in animal protein production necessitates a significant increase in feed production for sustainable animal production.

Increasing demand for quality milk and meat products, rapid increase in industrialization are among the factors that will increase the growth of the compound feed market. In 2022, China, USA, Brazil, India, Mexico, Spain, Russia, Turkey, Japan and Germany were among the top 10 countries in the world compound feed production.
