Fire at Afşin-Elbistan B Thermal Power Plant

Firefighters respond to the fire that broke out in Afşin-Elbistan B Thermal Power Plant, which was affected by the earthquakes on February 6 in Kahramanmaraş and started production after the maintenance and repair works on May 10.

According to the information received, a fire broke out at the Afşin-Elbistan B Thermal Power Plant, which consists of 4 units, each with an installed power of 360 megawatts, that has been producing electricity for about 20 years, for an undetermined reason.

A large number of firefighters were dispatched to the area.

The fire extinguishing efforts of the crews who came to the power plant are continuing.
