Hardest foreign share sale in a year

The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey has published its securities statistics. Accordingly, foreign investors sold 378.7 million dollars of shares in the week of May 26.

In the same period, a net purchase of $ 1.6 million was made on the bond side.

According to the statistics published weekly by the CBRT, foreigners carried the selling trend on the stock side to the fifth week.

When the CBRT’s weekly securities statistics are analyzed, it is observed that foreign investors sold 378.7 million dollars of shares in the week of May 26.

This figure was the highest share sales in the last one year on a weekly basis. The foreign investor last exceeded this figure with the sale of 603 million dollars of shares in the week of May 20, 2022.

When the data is analyzed since the beginning of 2023, it is observed that the net share sales of foreigners reached 1 billion 548 million dollars.
