Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek answered the questions of journalists after the Cabinet Meeting. Stating that President Erdogan will pay a visit to the United Arab Emirates after the NATO Leaders’ Summit, Şimşek said that important investments are planned to be made in Turkey within the scope of his visit.
Minister Şimşek stated that his working visit to the United Arab Emirates with Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz before the Eid al-Adha was in a positive environment. Minister Şimşek underlined that new economic cooperation opportunities were evaluated in the meetings with President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Minister Şimşek said that during the holiday, studies were carried out on the subject and that the framework for President Erdoğan’s visit would be clarified when the studies are concretized.
Minister Şimşek emphasized that the visit was planned to be made after the 11-12 July NATO Leaders’ Summit. Şimşek answered the question of journalists whether they would prepare an additional budget by saying “We will see”.
