Reserve message from Mehmet Şimşek – Bloomberg HT

Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of Treasury and Finance, said that they accelerated the efforts to obtain foreign resources to strengthen the reserves.

Şimşek used the following statements in his statement on his Twitter account:

According to the CBRT analytical balance sheet data, net international reserves recorded the largest weekly increase in history with $8.5 billion last week. The return to rational policies will continue gradually.

We are accelerating our efforts to obtain additional foreign resources to our country in order to further strengthen the reserves.

In addition, we will continue to make TL instruments attractive. In this context, we are extending the withholding support in Currency Protected Deposits until the end of the year.
