Salaries of civil servants in earthquake zones will be paid early

The Ministry of Treasury and Finance announced that salaries will be paid to civil servants and workers in public institutions in earthquake zones before 15 February.

In the statement made by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, all progress payments due on February 15 to those who work in Adana, Adıyaman, Diyarbakır, Gaziantep, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Kilis, Malatya, Osmaniye and Şanlıurfa, who receive their salaries according to personnel laws, are determined by the Civil Servants Law. It has been reported that the payment will be made immediately in accordance with the 164th and additional 24th articles.

In the circular signed by the Minister of Treasury and Finance Nureddin Nebati, it was stated that the same action would be taken against contracted personnel, workers and other personnel working in public institutions in the said provinces.

“The pensions payable will be accounted for by making legal deductions. The pensions transferred to the bank accounts will be promptly paid by the relevant banks to the personnel. The deductions from the pensions will be sent within the legal timeframe, as in the previous months. It is necessary to make the necessary announcement to all relevant units, including the local administration units within the province, and to prevent any disruption. All measures must be taken by the relevant units.
