S&P affirms Australia’s credit ratings

Stating that Australia’s improving fiscal balance supports its credit ratings, S&P stated that they predict that the general public deficit will be less than 2 percent of GDP in 2023 and 2026, and that the ratio of central government debt to GDP will continue to be around 30 percent in the same period.
Confirming its short-term credit ratings as A-1+, S&P Global maintained its long-term outlook as “stable”.
