Statement from Şişecam about the Stockton Port Investment

Şişecam announced that it became a 50 percent shareholder of Stockton Port, USA, with a payment of $12.2 million by Şişecam Chemicals USA after obtaining the necessary approvals.

The following statements were made on the subject: “The transaction that we announced to the public on 29/03/2023 regarding the decision of our Board of Directors to become a shareholder of Denmar US LLC with the capital increase method by Şişecam Chemicals USA and thus to participate in the Stockton Port Management Project by 50 percent, It was completed on May 11, 2023, following the approval of the US Foreign Investment Committee (CFIUS), which is essential for foreign investors, as the port investments to be made in Istanbul are considered among the investments of strategic importance.

As part of the transaction, Şişecam Chemicals USA paid USD 12.2 Million for 50% participation in the Stockton Port Management Project.”
