President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made the following statements at the public meeting in Gemlik:
Reminding that they made a unique arrangement in the world by not collecting income tax from tradesmen such as barbers, tailors, grocers, butchers and taxi drivers, President Erdoğan said that currently 837 thousand tradesmen benefit from both income tax exemption and do not pay VAT.
Expressing that he now ensures that the tradesmen continue to benefit from this practice, Erdogan said, “We also include our 80,000 merchants in our 13 big cities in this exception practice.”
Erdogan also said, “We include those who sell products they manufacture at home on the internet, within the scope of tax exemption, and we increase the exemption limit from 320 thousand to 700 thousand liras.”
SCT will not be paid in commercial vehicle renewal
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced that the SCT will be abolished for the renewal of some commercial vehicles.
“Those who operate urban taxis, minibuses, minibuses, buses, tow trucks and transport trucks will not pay SCT when renewing vehicles of the same type,” Erdogan said.
