The countdown has begun for the summit in Kocaeli, Turkey’s production and export base.
Yıldızlar Investment Holding is the main sponsor of the summit, which will be hosted by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality and Kocaeli Chamber of Industry, under the leadership of EKONOMİ Newspaper, and Bloomberg HT is the media partner.
The opening speeches of EKONOMİ Newspaper Chairman of the Board of Directors Hakan Güldağ, Bloomberg HT Editor-in-Chief Açıl Sezen, Yıldızlar Investment Holding Board Member Hakkı Yıldız, Kocaeli Chamber of Industry President Ayhan Zeytinoğlu and Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tahir Büyükakın will attend the summit, and Kocaeli Governor Seddar Yavuz will attend the summit. Three important panels will be held as part of the event.
Açıl Sezen will moderate the first panel on “Bringing the Industry to the New Century”. Yıldızlar Investment Holding Board Member Hakkı Yıldız, Ford Otosan General Manager Güven Özyurt, Gedik Holding Board Chairman Hülya Gedik and GYODER Vice President Sertaç Karaağaoğlu will take place as speakers.
In the second part of the summit, moderated by Şeref Oğuz, Chairman of the Editorial Board of EKONOMİ Newspaper; İGSAS General Manager İlkay Ünal, Tat Gıda General Manager Evren Albas, Istanbul Provincial Agriculture Manager Ahmet Yavuz Karaca and Bloomberg HT Agriculture Editor İrfan Donat will share their views in the “Sustainable-Smart Agricultural Practices” panel.

The topic of the last panel to be held within the scope of the summit will be “Designing Disaster Resistant Cities in a Transforming World”. The last panel to be moderated by EKONOMİ Newspaper General Coordinator Vahap Munyar will consist of two separate sessions. In the first session, Şule Kılıç, Director of Reconstruction and Development Bank-EBRD Turkey, Rector of Gebze Technology University Prof. Dr. Ali Hacı Mantar, Bay Mayor Şener Söğüt. In the second session, East Marmara Development Agency (MARKA) Secretary General Mustafa Copoğlu, Körfez Chamber of Commerce President Recep Öztürk, İMES OSB Regional Manager, Kocaeli Machinery Manufacturers Association Board Member and Secretary General Onur Kesici.
