The number of paid employees increased by 347 thousand annually in May

TURKSTAT, Paid Employee Statistics, published May 2023 data.

Accordingly, the total number of paid employees in industry, construction and trade-service sectors increased by 4.0 percent in May 2023 compared to the same month of the previous year.

While the number of paid employees was 14 million 308 thousand 991 people in the same month of the previous year, it became 14 million 881 thousand 757 people in May 2023.

Looking at the sub-details of paid employees; In May 2023, the number of paid employees increased by 1.4 percent in the industry sector, 13.0 percent in the construction sector and 4.0 percent in the trade-service sector.

The number of paid employees increased by 0.7 percent monthly

The total number of paid employees in industry, construction and trade-service sectors increased by 0.7 percent in May 2023 compared to the previous month.

Looking at the sub-details of paid employees; In May 2023, wage workers increased by 0.3 percent in the industry sector, 1.5 percent in the construction sector and 0.8 percent in the trade-service sector.
