49.6 percent of the registered unemployed were men, 50.4% were women, and 23.6% were in the 15-24 age group.

On an annual basis, the number of registered unemployed women, which was 1 million 744 thousand in June last year, decreased to 1 million 300 thousand this June. The decrease was recorded as 24.9 percent.

While the number of registered unemployed men, which was 1 million 823 thousand, decreased to 1 million 291, the decrease in total annual basis was recorded as 27.1 percent.

The number of vacant jobs decreased by 15.4%

The number of vacant jobs received by İşkur from employers decreased by 15.4 percent in June compared to the same month of the previous year and became 200 thousand 64. In the same month of last year, the number of vacant jobs was at the level of 236,505.

According to the monthly “Statistics Report” of İşkur, 1 million 325 thousand 564 vacancies were received in the first 6 months of the year with an increase of 12.9 percent. 98.4 percent of vacant jobs consisted of vacant jobs from the private sector. In terms of sectors, the highest number of vacancies (559,012 vacancies) were in the manufacturing industry, while the highest number of vacancies were determined in the professions of “Private Security Officer (Unarmed), Tourism and Hotel Management Personnel, and Sales Consultant/Specialist”.
