The Turkish flag will fly on the New York Stock Exchange with the historic ceremony that Martı will attend today, whose shares have started to be traded with the MRT code. The New York Stock Exchange will also organize a series of celebration events in honor of Martı, who went down in history as Turkey’s youngest technology startup, whose shares were traded on the New York Stock Exchange 4 years after its establishment.
Öktem, who will be hosted by the top executives of the New York Stock Exchange, will sign the memo book of the 231-year-old Stock Exchange and receive a plaque. In honor of Martı, an invitation will also be given by the New York Stock Exchange with the participation of US and Turkish business world representatives and international investors.
Turkey’s only scaled mobility company Martı, which wants to further expand shared, electric and environmentally friendly transportation in Turkey, decided to go public on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in order to increase its capital and create more resources. Martı raised approximately $60 million from the IPO.
will compete in the Champions League
The fact that Martı is traded on the New York Stock Exchange, where the world’s leading companies are traded, is expected to pave the way for Turkish technology (start-up) startups to rise to the world league.
Oğuz Alper Öktem, who issued a message addressing his employees before going to the USA for the public offering events, emphasized that they had started a long and difficult struggle in the Giants League and that they had a game plan to be permanent. Noting that a volatility in the share performance of a company that is newly listed on the stock market, that is, an increase or decrease in the share price in the first few months, would be a normal course, Öktem continued his words as follows:
“However, the important thing for us is that we have accessed billions of liras of new financing from American institutional investors who believe in our business plan and long-term success. We will pursue to do our job better than ever and to create value. And you will see that we will be at a very different point in the medium term. Now, let’s experience the rightful pride of raising our flag together and enjoy this historical moment.”
