Türk-İş’s food inflation is at its lowest level in 1.5 years

The limited movement in the hunger and poverty indicators of Türk-İş for June drew attention.

According to the Confederation of Hunger and Poverty Line research, food inflation was 0.1 percent on a monthly basis in June. Annually, it was 62.30 percent, the lowest level since January 2022.

According to the research, the monthly food expenditure, or as it is known, the hunger limit, that a family of four living in Ankara should do in order to have a healthy, balanced and adequate diet, has increased to 10 thousand 373 TL.

In May, this figure was 10 thousand 362 TL.

The total amount of food expenditures and other mandatory monthly expenditures for clothing, housing (rent, electricity, water, fuel), transportation, education, health and similar needs, in other words the poverty line, increased to 33 thousand 788 TL.

The ‘cost of living’ of a single employee rose to 13 thousand 471 TL per month.
