TÜROFED allocated 50 thousand beds to earthquake victims

Mehmet İşler, Vice President of the Turkish Hoteliers Federation (TÜROFED), stated that the biggest disaster of the century was experienced and that they joined the solidarity by allocating 50 thousand beds to earthquake victims in the first place as TÜROFED.

Stating that hotels in almost every region of Turkey are ready to relieve the victims of earthquakes and that earthquake victims have started to be hosted, İşler stated that their goal is to increase the number of beds to 100 thousand.

Stating that they are working in coordination with crisis desks, AFAD, governorships and civil authorities for jobs, allocations, he said, “We started an aid campaign for earthquake victims with a bed capacity of nearly 50 thousand beds in approximately 17 regions. We aim to welcome them as a home by opening the doors of our facilities and to help them erase the traces of this disaster. We are sending these bed capacities to the institutions in a list. Acceptances started to take place with the name list of the institutions. The first convoy landed in our Bodrum district last night with the support of a businessman from Diyarbakir. In this regard, Antalya is ready with a bed capacity of about 20 thousand, Alanya about 10 thousand, and Izmir with a bed capacity of about 3 thousand.
